Kristen Davis (W, 8-1) continued to thrive, holding the Hurricanes to just one unearned run while pitching all seven innings, striking out seven batters. The run production came solely from
Madi Perry, with Perry's triple in the third driving in the first run before Perry scored the second run on a wild pitch to account for the Nighthawks' two runs in the game.
Perry's hit was the one of three in the game for the Nighthawks, with
Hannah Forehand earning the other two hits, adding a walk in her three trips to the plate.

The second game seemed to be headed towards another photo finish before the Nighthawks bats found their footing, scoring seven runs in the fifth to earn the run-rule victory. The Hurricanes added two in the first and second inning before
Sophie Mooney (W, 5-0) came in for relief to cool down GSW's bats before they could heat up. Mooney threw the one and two-thirds innings, allowing just one unearned run on four hits, earning the win .
Mooney's win in the circle was only half the story as the right-hander from Lawrenceville, Ga., drove in five RBIs in the game, reaching base each at-bat with three hits and one walk. No swing was bigger than her two-run shot in the fifth to go up seven and set the Nighthawks up for the knockout blow.
Madi Perry continued to add runs in the second game, driving in two runs on two hits and scoring three runs, all three driven in by Mooney.
Georgia Blair,
