AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of North Georgia women's golfer
Maddie Ananthasane has earned the Peach Belt Conference's Women's Golfer of the Week award after her third-place finish at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate this week.
Ananthasane held the lead after the first round and stayed near the top of the leaderboard for the final two rounds, shooting a 74 in the second round and a 73 in the third to finish with a two-over-par 216. Her first-round lead came after shooting a two-under-par 69 in a field of NCAA Division I and II golfers.
Anathasane joins teammates
Amari Smith and
Kennedy Noe as award recipients this season.
