LEXINGTON, Ky. – In a bout with the defending NCAA national champions, the No. 18 University of North Georgia rifle team fell 4667-4620 to No. 4 Kentucky on the road.
Elysa Walter finished first for North Georgia and second overall, carding a smallbore score of 575, and an air rifle score of 593, totaling an aggregate score of 1168.
Alyssa Kiser finished second on the team, shooting an 1160 aggregate score after finishing with 474 in smallbore and 586 in air rifle.
Maya Cameron finished third in scoring for UNG shooting an 1152 aggregate and 567 in smallbore, and 585 in air rifle.
Dawson Kissik (1138) and Jaden Ann Fraser (1137) rounded out the top five Nighthawks.

North Georgia will host The Citadel for a home match on Saturday, Feb. 11 in Dahlonega. The Nighthawks faced The Citadel once this season, finishing ahead of them on the road in Charleston, S.C. on Nov. 5.
