DAHLONEGA - The No. 5 University of North Georgia men's tennis team claimed a 6-1 win over Auburn Montgomery Saturday to extend their winning streak to 11 games.
North Georgia took the doubles point, winning on the second line with
Zach Waldow and
Cole Brainard, 6-2, and a 6-1 win on the top line with
Ryan Gaskin and
Joaquin Benoit.
The Nighthawks quickly clinched the match with Benoit and Waldow winning 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively, before
Daniel Ostap won at No. 4 by a 7-5, 6-4 score to clinch the match.
Cole Brainard and
Giulio Sassi also won in straight sets on the fifth and sixth lines.
North Georgia will next compete on April 16 at Columbus State.
