It was all quiet on the scoreboard until USC Beaufort struck for three in the top of the fourth, scoring on a leadoff walk, an error that scored two and a homer to right. North Georgia got on the board first in the second game of the day, starting with a run in the second on a Chowan error. UNG scored two more in the third off a Haley Cummings RBI double and another Hawk error, putting the Nighthawks up, 3-0.

The Nighthawks went off in the fourth, plating nine runs in the inning, highlighted by a Jolie Lester RBI double and a Cummings grand slam. After Chowan battled back in the fifth to cut the lead to 12-7, North Georgia plated three runs off another Cummings hit, this time an RBI double that ended the game.
