MORGANTOWN, W.V. - The No. 17 University of North Georgia rifle team finished off the regular season Saturday with a win over VMI, 4605-4529. UNG also knocked off VMI's women's team who scored 4389 in aggregate.
Jayne Fraley was the lone shooter in the event to place in the top 10 on aggregate, coming in at 1161 after finishing as the top Nighthawk in both disciplines. She finished with a 573 in smallbore before a 588 in air rifle with a perfect 100 string in the fourth set of shots.
Jaden-Ann Fraser finished as the second Nighthawk on aggregate, 13 points back of Fraley. She matched Fraley in air rifle at 588 with her last five strings scoring at 98 or higher, including starting that stretch with a perfect 100.
North Georgia will next be in action at the Southern Conference Championships March 5-6 at VMI.
