VALDOSTA, Ga. - The No. 18 University of North Georgia women's tennis team dropped a top 20 matchup to No. 4 Nova Southeastern Saturday morning, 6-1.
The Sharks swept doubles, winning on all three lines by scores of 6-4, 6-3 and 6-0. Nova Southeastern continued the momentum into singles, winning on all but the sixth line.
Svetlana Teterina was the lone Nighthawk to get a win, taking No. 6 singles in three sets, 6-4, 1-6, 10-7.
North Georgia will return home Tuesday to take on Brenau. First serve is set for 3 p.m. at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek Park.
