MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The University of North Georgia women's soccer team defeated Georgia College in its road Peach Belt Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. North Georgia used an aggressive attack and an early lead to defeat the Bobcats.
Maysoon El-Shami kicked off the scoring in the 19th minute,
Abbie Crane added her seventh goal of the season in the 48th minute using an assist by El-Shami to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Ava Martin brought the deficit down to one with a 51st-minute goal for Georgia College, but
Megan DuMond sealed the victory in the 86th minute to take a 3-1 lead. North Georgia would hold that lead until the final whistle and move to 8-2-3 on the season.

North Georgia will travel to face USC Beaufort on Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the first PBC matchup between the two programs. USC Beaufort is 9-5 in their first season in the Peach Belt Conference.
