YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell Wednesday night at No. 12 Young Harris, 4-1, in a Battle of Blood Mountain matchup.
The Mountain Lions wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as they found the net in the fifth minute to take the 1-0 lead. North Georgia answered in the 41st minute off a corner kick from
Santiago Gimenez that found the head of
Michael Walsh to level the match.
Young Harris responded, scoring with 15 seconds left in the first half and then twice more in the second half to remain undefeated on the year.
NOTES
- Walsh scored the second goal of his career with the first coming against Georgia Southwestern in the spring season.
- North Georgia was able to get just six shots off with the lone shot on goal going in.
