MORROW, Ga. - A 20 minute stretch in the first half was all that Clayton State needed to push past the University of North Georgia men's soccer team, 4-2, Saturday afternoon.
North Georgia struck first as
Harrison Wright took a pass from
Gustavo Alencar and struck it home in the seventh minute, but the Lakers would respond in a huge way, scoring four goals in 21 minutes to take a 4-1 lead.
After trailing by that score at the half, UNG came out and found a second goal in the 56th minute as
Darius Dickson scored his first goal of the season off a pass from
Santiago Gimenez. Neither team could find the net the rest of the way as the Lakers took the conference win.
NOTES
- The Lakers took 14 shots on the night, 10 of which were on target.
-
