DAHLONEGA - Harrison Wright scored twice in under 90 seconds to give the University of North Georgia men's soccer team the lead late in the first half, but Lander scored the final two goals of the match to take Wednesday's result of 3-2.
After an own goal put the Bearcats ahead in the 35th minute, Wright found the back of the net from well outside the 18 just 32 seconds after conceding to knot the match up at 1-1. 88 seconds later, Wright took a pass from
Alejandro DeVillena and put it home for a 2-1 lead for UNG.
Lander answered in the 41st minute with a goal from Tom Marriott followed by the eventual game winner from Max McNulty in the 69th minute.
NOTES
- The Bearcats held a 12-9 advantage in shots. UNG scored on two of its three shots in the first half.
- Wright recorded the 37th brace in program history.
