JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The No. 17 University of North Georgia rifle team shattered their program aggregate scoring record in a win over UT Martin Sunday, 4639-4590.
The aggregate total was 17 points higher than the previous record, set on September 30, 2017. The team was also one point off of the air rifle record in the event as well.
Multiple personal records were set in the event, including
Jaden-Ann Fraser's smallbore score of 578 and aggregate score of 1167.
Kevin Vaughn also set a new PR in the aggregate score with an 1154, and
Ryan Sponauer shot 572 in smallbore to set his new PR in the discipline.
The Nighthawks are done in the fall season and look ahead to their next event on January 21, 2022, at Murray State to compete against UAB in SoCon action.
