CHARLESTON, S.C. - The No. 19 University of North Georgia rifle team took down The Citadel in come-from-behind fashion, downing the Bulldogs, 4621-4615. UNG also beat The Citadel's women's team after they scored 4364 in the aggregate total.

North Georgia's aggregate total of 4621 was a single point from tying the program record, setting a new season best on the day. Dawson Kissik and Alyssa Kiser were the top shooters for UNG on the day with both shooting an aggregate total of 1159, second best in the event.

Kissik set new personal bests in both disciplines, firing a 572 in smallbore and a 587 in air. No string across either discipline was less than 92. Kiser shattered her personal best in smallbore with a 575 that saw five of her six strings score 96 or greater.

Other personal bests broken Saturday included Ryan Sponauer in smallbore with a 569 and Jaden-Ann Fraser in air with a 591. Fraser had three perfect 100 strings in her air rifle performance.

The Nighthawks will wrap up the fall season next weekend as they shoot against UT Martin at Jacksonville State. Other teams that will be at JSU next weekend as well will be UAB and Murray State.
