DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia rifle team was on the wrong end of a match against ninth-ranked Jacksonville State Saturday, 4643-4588.
Jaden-Ann Fraser was the top shooter for UNG, finishing third in aggregate scoring at 1155. After a 567 in smallbore, Fraser turned around to shoot a 588 in air rifle, starting with a 97 followed by four strings of 98 and a 99 to finish the day.
Dawson Kissik was the top Nighthawk in smallbore, firing a 571 that included a perfect 100 string in prone. He also had a perfect 100 in his second string of air rifle on the way to a 582.
North Georgia had its highest smallbore score of the year at 2255 with its second highest air rifle score of 2333.
The Nighthawks will next be in action at The Citadel on November 13.
