GREENWOOD, S.C. - The No. 22 University of North Georgia women's soccer team kept the winning streak alive at eight matches as they took down Lander, 2-0, Wednesday night.
North Georgia started the scoring in the 14th minute as
Megan Dumond collected a ball from
Cat Watry and put it in the net. In the 62nd minute,
Abbie Crane put the Nighthawks on top, 2-0, where the game stood for the remaining half hour.
NOTES
- Lander took nine shots in the game to UNG's eight.
Sierra Fowler saved all five shots on target.
- North Georgia is in their first eight game winning streak since the 2014 season.
- The Nighthawks have won six of the last seven in the series against Lander.
