DAHLONEGA - After falling down 2-0, the University of North Georgia men's soccer team battled back to earn a 2-2 draw with No. 5 Young Harris Wednesday night at the UNG Soccer Complex at Lynn Cottrell Park.
The Mountain Lions got on the board in the 14th minute on a Federico Gutierrez goal, followed up by a 50th minute goal from Adam Kirkwood. North Georgia answered moments later in the 55th minute when
Donovan Odier stole the ball from Gutierrez and slotted home a breakaway shot to the lower right corner to cut the lead in half.
The Nighthawks knotted it up in the 69th minute when
Elwyn Asiedu put home a rebound from a
Gabriel Campora shot. From there, neither goalie allowed another shot past through regulation or overtime to get to the draw.
NOTES
- North Georgia becomes the first team to take a point from Young Harris this season. YHC was previously 11-0-0.

- The draw for UNG and Young Harris is the first in the history of the series. YHC had won the previous three overtime matches.
