No. 20 Rifle Wins Seventh Straight Georgia State Championship

STATESBORO, Ga. - For the seventh year in a row, the No. 20 University of North Georgia rifle team reigns supreme in the state of Georgia as they clinched the Georgia State Championships at Georgia Southern.

Kimberlee Nettles led the way again for the Nighthawks, going for 580 in smallbore and 582 in the air rifle discipline. In the 12 strings, she shot no less than a score of 94.

Tobin Sanctuary was the second best shooter on the day, firing perfect scores in the prone position during smallbore. Jayne Fraley finished fourth in aggregate scoring, while Kevin Vaughn was fifth overall.

The Nighthawks will be back in action in two weeks in the NCAA Qualifier at West Virginia.
