MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Tobin Sanctuary finished as the No. 10 shooter in the event as the No. 19 University of North Georgia rifle team competed in the NCAA Qualifier. No. 3 West Virginia finished with the best aggregate score although there were no wins or losses in the event.
Sanctuary finished behind nine Mountaineers in the aggregate scoring. The senior shot the eighth best smallbore score, firing a perfect 100 string in his first prone position. He followed that up with the 10th best air rifle score in the event with a 582.
Kimberlee Nettles tied Sanctuary in the air rifle discipline, shooting no less than 95 in any of her six strings.
The Nighthawks will now prepare for the Southern Conference Championships March 7-8 at Georgia Southern.
