DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia tennis teams hit the road for their final matches of the regular season, taking on ranked opponents in Flagler and USC Aiken.
Rankings: The women are currently ranked No. 11 in the nation.
Vaishali Jorge is the No. 23 singles player in the nation, while
Adrienne Bofinger is No. 60. Bofinger and
Emma Etelalahti are the No. 47 doubles duo in the nation. The men are now ranked No. 11 by the ITA.
Jess Jones is No. 43 in the nation in singles play. Jones and
Niklas Zielen are No. 16 in doubles action.
Last Week: The women went 2-1 last week, beating GSW and No. 39 Georgia College in league play. The men went 1-1 on the week, falling to No. 2 Columbus State, 6-1, before shutting out Georgia Southwestern, 7-0.
Flagler Scout: Flagler's women are No. 18 in the nation after starting the year 13-5 and 6-1 in league action. Felicitas Runkel is No. 66 in the nation in singles, while Alessandra Traub and Paloma Martinez are No. 19 in doubles action. The Saints men are 13-6 on the year and 5-2 in PBC play., ranked No. 3 in the nation this week by the ITA. Lukas Storck is No. 56 in the nation in singles play, while he and Konstantin Dustmann are the No. 38 doubles duo in the nation.
USC Aiken Scout: USC Aiken's women are No. 36 in the nation this season, going 14-2 and 6-2 in PBC play in 2019. Elena Bompieri is No. 49 in singles play for the Pacers. USCA's men are No. 8 in the nation with a record of 13-2 this season, while going 6-2 in PBC play. Antonio Sabugureiro is No. 60 in singles play, and he and Salvador Bandeira rank as the No. 6 doubles pair in the nation.
