CHARLESTON, S.C. - Tobin Sanctuary shot perfect from the prone position as the No. 17 University of North Georgia rifle team defeated The Citadel Saturday. No. 15 Jacksonville State was the top shooting team in the event.
Sanctuary shot an aggregate score of 1153, the fifth-best score in the event. He shot 572 in the smallbore, including the perfect 200 in the prone position, following that up with a 581 in air rifle with two 98 strings.
Jayne Fraley was the second-best shooter for UNG, seventh in the aggregate scoring with a 1147 after finishing in the same spot in both disciplines.
Kimberlee Nettles finished ninth in aggregate scoring, two points back of Fraley.
The Nighthawks will next battle Akron on November 23 to wrap up the fall slate.
