MOREHEAD, Ky. - Kimberlee Nettles was the best shooter for the University of North Georgia rifle team as they fell to Morehead State by 40 points Saturday.
Nettles finished fifth in the smallbore and sixth in the air rifle discipline to lead UNG on the day. The junior shot a 570 in the smallbore, including dropping just three points in the prone position. She shot 581 in air rifle, scoring no less than 96 in the six strings.
Jayne Fraley was North Georgia's best shooter in the air rifle discipline, firing a 588 with the final three strings scoring 99-99-100. Her score was good for fourth place in the meet in the discipline.
North Georgia will be back in action in one week as they open Southern Conference play at Wofford.
