Men's Soccer Falls in Scoring Frenzy to Clayton State

MORROW, Ga. - Eren Ozer scored twice, but it was not enough as the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell to Clayton State in a 5-3 shootout at Laker Field Wednesday.

Ozer scored the first two goals of the match, the first off a Jack Newhouse pass right in front of goal in the eighth minute. The senior from Germany scored again eight minutes later, this time off an assist from Victor Galterio after his shot slammed off the post.

The Lakers were able to equalize before halftime and got the go-ahead goal from Olavo Guimaraes just three minutes into the second half. CSU's Ryan King doubled the Laker lead in the 67th minute, but Jordan Day brought the game back to a one-goal affair in the 73rd minute off an assist from Donovan Odier. King found his way through again, however, just six minutes later to bring the match to its final score.

NOTES
