No. 20 Women's Soccer Blanks Pacers, 3-0

AIKEN, S.C. - Rosie Embley scored twice as the No. 20 University of North Georgia women's soccer team shut out its fifth Peach Belt opponent of the year with a 3-0 win over USC Aiken Saturday night.

Embley got the Nighthawks on the board with a goal in the 17th minute to the right of the Pacer goalie. After going into halftime up 1-0, Katey Derkay doubled the UNG lead, scoring from about 10 yards out in the 52nd minute.

Embley scored her second goal at the one hour mark off a pass from Maysoon El-Shami that put the game at its final score.

NOTES
- This is Embley's second career brace with the first coming in her freshman year on September 17, 2016, against Georgia College.

- The Nighthawk defense held USCA to just five shots with only one needing to be saved. UNG took 20 shots in comparison with eight on target.

- North Georgia is now one conference clean sheet away from tying the program record for PBC shutouts in a season.
