Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. - Coming down to the final match, Kevin Candido clinched the No. 17 University of North Georgia men's tennis team's win over Florida Southern Tuesday afternoon, snapping a three-match losing skid for the Nighthawks.

UNG won two tightly contested doubles matches with Niklas Zielen and Ryan Gaskin teaming up at No. 1 doubles for an 8-6 win, while Tim Kiehl and Zack Waldow won at No. 3 doubles, 8-5.

Waldow continued the Nighthawk winning ways with a quick 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles, giving UNG a 3-1 lead. The Mocs won the next three matches at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 singles to put pressure on the Nighthawks. Mark Laishley won a three-set match to tie the game back before Candido clinched the win with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Matt Matsuyama.

North Georgia will hit the courts tomorrow night at Augustana with first serve set for 7 p.m.
