MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Despite outshooting Montevallo in the match, the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell to the Falcons, 1-0, Wednesday night at UM's Varsity Field. The Nighthawks are now 2-3 in 2017.
Montevallo got the game's lone goal in the 42nd minute of play when Nikola Klacar found Vladik Margolin in the box for the game-winning goal.
The Nighthawks had many chances to level the score, taking 17 shots in the second half, but the Falcons' defense stood strong to earn the clean sheet.
NOTES
- Montevallo now leads the all-time series against UNG, 9-2-2, including 7-0 in Montevallo.

Matt Sharman made five saves in the contest for the Nighthawks, including four in the second half to keep the Falcon lead at one goal.
- Both teams earned seven corner kicks in the match.
