LEXINGTON, Va. - The University of North Georgia rifle team had the top five performers as they coasted past VMI Saturday, posting a score over 100 points better than the Keydets. The Nighthawks scored a team aggregate score of 4,580 while VMI scored 4,471.
Fresh off earning the SoCon Player of the Month for air rifle, Kimberlee Nettles was the top shooter of the day for the meet, shooting a personal best 1,154 aggregate score. Nettles had a perfect 100 string in the third set of shots in the air rifle discipline.
Ricky Medina,
Ruthanne Conner,
Tobin Sanctuary and
David Turner rounded out the top five performers. Sanctuary and Conner tied for third with aggregate scores of 1,138.
The Nighthawks will be back in action on November 19 as they travel to take on the Wolfpack of North Carolina State.
