DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia women's tennis team matched its season-long winning streak of five with a 7-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Montevallo on Sunday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek Park. The Nighthawks improve to a program-record 15-6 overall and 5-4 in league action.
Montevallo falls to 12-9 overall and 1-9 in PBC play.
UNG won two of three doubles matches, winning by an identical 8-2 score at No. 1 and No. 3.
The Nighthawks clinched the victory by winning five of six singles matches in straight sets.
The five-match winning streak matches the Nighthawks' season-opening stretch of victories.
North Georgia returns to action on Thursday (Apr. 14) when both Nighthawk teams host USC Aiken on Senior Day. First serves are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. with a short ceremony recognizing the seniors prior to warm ups.
