ORLANDO | The University of North Georgia women's tennis team knocked off its second top-40 opponent in the last six matches as they defeated No. 32 Wayne State (Mich.) 7-2 while the No. 20 Nighthawk men completed the sweep with an 8-1 victory over the Warriors. 

The North Georgia women jumped out to a fast 3-0 lead with victories in all three doubles lines before clinching the match with bookend singles wins in the top two and bottom two singles matches.

The win improves UNG to 9-3 on the year while Wayne State falls to 15-6.

The North Georgia men fell at No. 1 doubles, 8-6, before rebounding to win all eight of the remaining matches, ending a two-match slide.  The Nighthawks improve to 8-4 while Wayne State falls to 3-6. 

Both teams will take a day off from their 2016 Spring Break trip in the Sunshine State before taking on NCAA Division I Quinnipiac on Wednesday (Mar. 16) with first serves scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
