DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia men's and women's tennis teams continued their season-opening dominance of non-conference opponents as both squads eased past Southern Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex.
Both the No. 20 UNG men and the Nighthawk women won 9-0, not dropping a line as both teams improve to 5-0 win the victories.
The women's five consecutive season-opening victories mark a new program record for best start to a season, bettering the previous record of four wins in 2011-12.
Both teams return to action when they open up Peach Belt Conference play with a short road trip to Young Harris on Saturday, Feb. 27. First serves are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at YHC's Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Center.
