CLEVELAND | The Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) has announced the 2014-15 recipients of the Academic Achievement Awards with 22 student-athletes from the University of North Georgia collecting the honor.
The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level.
A total number of 149 institutions, including 10 Peach Belt Conference schools, and a record number of student-athletes (7,442) were recognized for the 2014-15 Academic Achievement Awards.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have carried a 3.5 cumulative GPA for 2013-14, have attended a minimum of two years of collegiate work and also have been an active member of their school's intercollegiate team during the year.
