FLORENCE, S.C. | The No. 21 University of North Georgia men's tennis team came up on the short end of a 5-1 decision to No. 8 Columbus State in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 Peach Belt Conference Tournament at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence (S.C.) Tennis Center.
North Georgia falls to 14-5 on the season after suffering back-to-back losses for the first time this season.
North Georgia's lone point came at the middle doubles line where
Philipp Mueller and
Julian Schoeller needed a tiebreaker to edge Oussama Zoghlami and Martynas Zakaitis, 9-8.
In a battle of top-20 doubles teams, Columbus State's Marco Almorin and Adi Malicbegovic, ranked No. 17, slipped past No. 21
