DAHLONEGA | No. 13-ranked Lander needed a pair of late goals to escape Dahlonega with a 2-0 Peach Belt Conference win over the UNG men's soccer team on Wednesday evening at the UNG Soccer Complex.

The game was scoreless at halftime with both teams getting seven shots off in the half. The Nighthawks got four shots on goal in the half and held the Bearcats to just one shot on goal.

The second half saw more of the same hard-fought action with Lander finally breaking through in the 71st minute when Oliver Brock scored off of a deflection at the top of the box.

Seven minutes later, Steven Gonzalez scored off of another deflection in the box.

NOTES- Lander improves to 12-2-0 overall and 6-2-0 in conference play. North Georgia falls to 4-10-2 and 2-5-1 in Peach Belt play.

Victor Ohlin had six saves on the night, including five in the second half. It was his third game in a row with five or more saves.
- The Nighthawks finish the home portion of their regular season schedule 3-4-1.
- Heading into the regular-season finale, UNG has clinched the No. 8 seed in next week's Peach Belt Conference Tournament and will travel to the top-seeded team. The final seeds will be determined by Saturday's matches.
