How Cottle got to UNG
Cottle joined the Nighthawk program after finishing up her high school career at LaGrange High School, a mere two hours outside of Dahlonega. The forward was a lethal scorer during her time with the Grangers, netting 24 goals along with six assists as a junior while helping her team to the Elite Eight in the state tournament. As a senior, Cottle scored another 29 goals while contributing 16 assists. Her 74 total points ranked fifth in the state of Georgia class 4A girls soccer and placed Cottle on a direct path to a Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) 4A First Team All-State selection. The four-year starter was a staple in the Granger program, playing in more than 50 games with over 60 goals and 30 assists in that span. Cottle was noticed by the Nighthawk coaching staff during a scrimmage for her club team and committed to UNG in February of her senior season.
