How Ramirez Urbina got to UNG
Joshua Ramirez Urbina arrived in Dahlonega in 2024 as a freshman from Lawrenceville, Ga. Ramirez Urbina competed at Discovery High School and within the Elite Club National League (ECNL) prior to becoming a Nighthawk. Ramirez Urbina was a highly touted forward during his high school career with the Titans. He totaled 26 goals, 11 assists and 63 points in 57 games over just a three-year span at Discovery. In his senior season, Ramirez Urbina was one of the best scorers around with 12 goals while adding three assists. His efforts led him to being named to the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) 7A All-State First Team. Ramirez Urbina was discovered in the ECNL by UNG head coach Anel Lilic. He said, "UNG stood out to me the most because everyone has been respectful and made me feel welcomed."
