How Pérez got to UNG
Angel Pérez, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, completed his high school career at nearby Alpharetta High School before joining the Nighthawks in 2024. Pérez is a midfielder who is known for his play making ability. Every season the Alpharetta boy soccer program gives out team awards. The marron award goes to "the best play maker on the field; the player who makes other players better." Pérez won the award in both 2022 and 2023. In his senior season in 2024, he scored five goals while adding three assists. He led his team in goals, assists and points last year. In 2023, Pérez was a Georgia High School Soccer 6A All-State Honorable Mention. In his final high school season, he was also named a Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) 6A All-State Honorable Mention.
