Biography

How Kobiljar got to UNG
Anel Kobiljar was first noticed by the UNG coaching staff at the club level with Jacksonville Football Club in the MLS Next league. A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Kobiljar mentioned how, upon being discovered by the UNG staff, head coach Anel Lilic "showed nothing but patience, care and love to me and my family." Kobiljar added, "[it] really makes it feel like a family already." Kobiljar began his college career in 2024 following in the footsteps of his older brother, Rijad, who played in 2014 at Jacksonville University. Rijad has since gone on to begin a professional soccer career and currently suits up as a midfielder for FK Tuzla City which competes in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina back in the Kobiljar's home country.
