Biography

How Lukic got to UNG
Aleksa Lukic, originally from Kragujevac, Serbia, came to UNG in 2024 most recently from Truett McConnell, an NAIA school in Cleveland, Ga. The goalkeeper played and started in all 16 of the Bears' games in 2023. He allowed just 17 goals while making 91 saves, ending the year with an .843 save percentage. Lukic's save percentage led the Appalachian Athletic Conference while his 91 saves ranked third. He solidified himself as one of the best keepers in a talented conference, all despite being just a freshman. Lukic was actually first introduced to UNG when Truett McConnell faced the Nighthawks in an early season scrimmage that season. Head coach Anel Lilic liked Lukic's style of play enough to reach out Lukic about joining the Nighthawks.
