VALDOSTA, Ga. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team closed out its 2026 season Saturday at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, finishing 16th overall after the final round in Valdosta, Georgia.

The Nighthawks posted a team score of 292 in the third round for the second straight day, ending the tournament with a three-round total of 886.

Hunter Smith led the Nighthawks in the final round, carding a 3-under 69 to finish the tournament at 2-under 214, good for a top-20 finish individually. Grant Langford followed with an even-par 72 and completed the event at 2-over 218.

Colby Bennett shot a 3-over 75 in the final round to finish at 227 overall, while Rhett Smith recorded a 5-over 77 to close at 230. Jack Rowe added a 4-over 76 and finished the tournament at 231.

Nova Southeastern claimed the team championship with a 24-under 840, while West Florida's Cooper Tendick earned individual medalist honors at 15-under 201.
