RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The No. 3 University of North Georgia (UNG) softball team's senior center fielder Sydnee Reaves continues to add to her impressive 2026 campaign after being named as a Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) First-Team All American on Wednesday afternoon.

Reaves is now a two-time D2CCA All American after earning a second team selection last year. The Ashland, Ala. native has boosted her historic season once again, as she was named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Player of the Year and a unanimous First-Team All American earlier today.

The superstar senior has been one of the best batters in Division II softball this season. Reaves currently leads the country with 28 doubles, while her 94 hits and 81 runs batted in rank sixth and fourth nationally.

Reaves has also been one of the best homerun hitters in the country. Her 20 home runs ranks as the fourth most in Division II softball and is just one shy of tying her teammate Carleigh Knowles for the most in a single season in program history.

After being named as the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Player of the Year, a First-Team All-Conference selection, a two-time All-Southeast Region honoree, the NFCA Player of the Year, and now a two-time All American in 2026, Reaves has put together one of the most decorated seasons of any individual player in North Georgia softball history.

Reaves and the Nighthawks are set to take on the NCAA Division II Women's College World Series in Chattanooga Tenn. in search of the program's third National Championship. First pitch for their opening game against McKendree is scheduled for tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Frost Stadium.
