INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time in as many years, the No. 11 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team has been selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Regional.

The NCAA national office announced the tournament field Sunday. The participants will compete in Cleveland, Tennessee, at one of four regional sites across the country and will be conducted May 4-6. Each site will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently.

All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top five (central), four (south), four (east) and five (west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.

The championships will be held May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.

The 10th-seeded Nighthawks earned their second consecutive bid following one of the best regular seasons in program history. North Georgia placed fifth or better in seven tournaments this season, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the LR/West Dunes Intercollegiate, where Camryn Wright earned individual medalist honors.

Most recently, North Georgia finished as runner-up at the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Championship, where Mackenzie Connell claimed individual medalist honors.

The Nighthawks also reached the highest ranking in program history this season, climbing to No. 7 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll.
