Four Nighthawks Earn All-Conference Honors

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's tennis team placed four student-athletes on the 2026 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Conference teams, the league office announced ahead of this weekend's conference tournament.

Postseason awards are nominated and voted on by the conference's head coaches.

Pedro Liborio headlined the honorees for North Georgia, earning First Team All-Conference recognition in singles. Liborio, who has played exclusively at No. 1 singles this season, is currently ranked No. 5 nationally in NCAA Division II. He compiled an 8-3 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in conference play.

João Luis Silva garnered Second Team All-Conference honors in singles after competing across the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 positions throughout the season. Silva posted a 6-8 overall record.

In doubles, the tandem of Juan Cruz Blanco and Ben Brandl earned Second Team All-Conference recognition. The pair competed at both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions, finishing the season with a 5-5 overall record and a 2-2 mark in conference action.

The Nighthawks will open play at the PBC Championship Tournament on Friday in Columbus, Georgia, taking on Augusta in the quarterfinals. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
