EATONTON, Ga. – The No. 10 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team completed day two of the GCSU Bobcat Invitational tied for 11th place with a two-round score of 586 (298, 288).
North Georgia shaved 10 strokes off its opening round score, carding a 288 in round two after posting a 298 in the first round of play.
Grant Langford led the Nighthawks in the opening round with a 2-under 68, highlighted by an eagle on the second hole and a hole-in-one on the 11th. Hunter Smith followed with a 74 (+4), while Colby Bennett and Garrett Horton each turned in rounds of 78 (+8). Jack Rowe rounded out the lineup with an 85.
In round two, Smith paced UNG with a 1-under 69 and finished seventh overall in the tournament. Bennett added a 71 (+1), while Langford and Rowe each posted rounds of 74 (+4). Horton carded a 76 (+6) to close out the day.
The Nighthawks return to action March 23-24 at the Tennessee River Rumble.
