DAHLONEGA – An 8-0 victory for the No. 2 University of North Georgia softball team opened up the NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional as the Nighthawks defeated second-seeded Wingate, 8-0, in five innings in the series opener. The win was highlighted by a no-hitter for

It was a career performance inside the circle for Denton as the first-team All-Region selection struck out four batters with two walks, allowing no hits and no runs. The Homer, Ga. native finished her first complete game no-hit performance of the season.
The North Georgia bats continued their recent form, scoring eight runs for the fourth consecutive game, ending in a

The NCAA Division II leader in RBIs added more to her totals, as
Hannah Forehand drove in two runs on two hits. She was one of three Nighthawks to record two hits, joined by
Madi Perry and
Sydney Blair.
Wicker and
Georgia Blair added two RBIs of their own with Wicker's coming on a left-field single in the fifth and
Georgia Blair's coming in the fourth by way of a left-field two-run home run. Mixson and
