COLUMBUS, Ga. – In the Peach Belt Conference Tournament championship match, the No. 12 University of North Georgia women's tennis team fell 4-1 to fifth-ranked Flagler in their second PBC tournament finals appearance in program history.
The Nighthawks were in the midst of tight matches in the remaining three singles flights before Flagler secured the win, taking their fourth point of the day to win the PBC tournament title. North Georgia fell two games to one in doubles with
Svetlana Teterina and
Angelina Linnikova taking the lone doubles match for UNG 6-1.
Angelina Linnikova continued a strong tournament appearance by winning in singles to get the Nighthawks a point in the #4 flight, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 to finish the tournament undefeated, winning two singles matches and two doubles matches.

The Nighthawks will await the NCAA Tournament selection show results on Monday (Apr. 24) at 8:30 p.m. hoping to earn their sixth NCAA Regional bid in program history.
