COLUMBUS, Ga. – For the fifth consecutive year, the University of North Georgia women's tennis team advanced to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals, cruising to a 4-0 victory over seventh-seeded Young Harris.
The Nighthawks took the doubles point, winning the #1 flight and #3 flight to take an early 1-0 lead.
Viktorie Wojcikova and
Johanna Lippert won 6-2 and
Valentina Ascarrunz and
Ashley Moinard took a 6-1 result to clinch the point.
Wojcikova continued on to a straight-set victory, winning 6-4, 6-0 in the top singles flight.
Angelina Linnikova added another straight-set win, taking a decisive 6-0, 6-2 victory to put the Nighthawks at a 3-0 advantage,
Svetlana Teterina clinched the final point helping the Nighthawks advance with a 6-3, 6-1 result.

The Nighthawks will face third-seeded Georgia College on Saturday (Apr. 22) at 3:00 p.m. The Nighthawks will look to avenge a 4-3 defeat against the Bobcats in UNG's regular-season finale.
