DAHLONEGA – It was another dominant performance for the No. 10 University of North Georgia tennis team, defeating Carson Newman 6-1 at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek. The Nighthawks took two of three lines in doubles, with
Svetlana Teterina and
Angelina Linnikova winning their match in the second doubles match before
Valentina Ascarrunz and
Sandra Recuenco took the third match.
The duo of
Johanna Lippert and
Viktorie Wojcikova fell in their doubles match but bounced back, with Wojcikova winning in straight sets 7-5, 7-5.
Ashley Moinard added a win in the match, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-4. Teterina, Linnikova, Ascarrunz, and Recueno all doubled up on the day by winning their singles matches.

The Nighthawks will face Anderson (4-0) on Saturday (Feb. 11) for a 1 p.m. showdown versus the Trojans in Anderson, S.C. AU is coming off a 6-1 victory over Converse on Feb. 3. The win over Converse was the first of the spring season after picking up three wins in the fall.
