AUGUSTA, Ga. – In a battle at the top of the Peach Belt Conference, the No. 21 University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell 80-76 at No. 14 Augusta. After a tight battle throughout, a late run for the Jaguars was just enough to win on their home floor.
Frank Champion paced the Nighthawks offensively, finishing with 24 points and nine rebounds.
AJ White continued his strong freshman campaign, scoring 18 points with four made threes on nine attempts.
Giancarlo Bastianoni (13) and
Hunter Shedenhelm (12) finished third and fourth in scoring for UNG while rounding out the double-digit scoring.
North Georgia drops to 14-4 overall and 7-3 in the Peach Belt Conference.
