WISE, Va. — In their first action on the road, the No. 16 University of North Georgia men's basketball team defeated UVA Wise 78-68, earning a ten point lead in a high scoring second half after a 28-28 tie at the halftime break.

Frank Champion continued to form a dynamic duo for the Nighthawks, both scoring 23 points with White adding three steals and three assists. Champion finished three rebounds short of a triple-double, earning ten assists and seven rebounds.
The pair combined for 46 of North Georgia's 78 points as Champion finished 6-8 from the field, earning 11 of his 23 points from the free throw line.
Cayden Charles made a run at a double-double, finishing first on the team in rebounds with 11, scoring nine points. Charles finished with two steals in the game joining Champion with two and one behind White with three.
The UNG defense prevailed once again, holding UVA Wise to just 39% shooting from the field and forcing nine turnovers. Next for the Nighthawks is a matchup against Tusculum on Tuesday (Nov. 21) at 5:30 p.m. in Greeneville, Tenn.
