2023 Spring Sports Fan Guide for Lynn Cottrell Park

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia Department of Athletics is gearing up to welcome Nighthawk fans back to Lynn Cottrell Park for the 2023 baseball and softball seasons.
 
Head coach Tom Cantrell's baseball team opens its 2023 season on Friday, Feb. 3 when they will host Mars Hill in a three-game non-conference series. After traveling to compete in the Gulf Shores Invitational on opening weekend, head coach Mike Davenport's North Georgia softball will return to Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium on Feb. 11-12 for their home opener as part of the Captain D's Surf 'N Turf Classic.

Below are general 2023 season operational reminders for fans and guest of Nighthawk athletics:
 
Tickets: Ticketing will continue to operate in a fully mobile model through Hometown Ticketing with tickets on sale now for $10 for a single game. Seniors ages 65 or older, middle and high school students and military members can purchase discounted single game tickets at $7 each. Season ticket options are also available for both the baseball and softball seasons.
 
All tickets must be purchased online as there will be no cash transactions or walk-up ticket sales. For those fans that have not purchased tickets prior to arrival at Lynn Cottrell Park, QR codes will be available to scan at the gates that will direct you to purchase your tickets online at UNGAthletics.com/Tickets. Event staff will be on site to assist with ticket purchases.
 
UNG students, faculty and staff will continue to gain free admission to all home events using the Campus Groups app (UNG Connect) on their phone and will no longer need to show their Nighthawk ID card.
 
Gates open one hour prior to published start time.
 
Reserve Your Seat: Nighthawk Athletic Club members have the option to reserve your seat at both Bob Stein Stadium and Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium in Lynn Cottrell Park. Members will receive email communication from the athletic department that includes the direct link to purchase your reserved seat. Based on giving level, Nighthawk Athletic Club Golden Nighthawk members will have first priority to select their seat.
 
Parking: Fans may opt to park in either the newly paved lot below the indoor hitting facility off Barlow Road (Lot 47) or the parking lot located across the street from Coleman Fieldhouse (Lot 57) on Barlow Road. Additionally, the parking lot below Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium (Lot 54) has been repaved and expanded to provide fans additional parking.

Restrooms & Concessions: In addition to a full-service concession stand, public restrooms for men and women are located in Coleman Fieldhouse between Bob Stein Stadium and Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium. Nighthawk Concessions will offer prepackaged refreshments and accepts cash, all major credit cards and UNG Dining Dollars.
 
Pets: With the exception of service animals, pets are not allowed in any section of a campus athletic facility. Our pet policy is a mandated university-wide policy that we must adhere by and was established to provide for the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors, and for the protection, efficient use and enjoyment of the campuses by insuring that pets do not become a threat, health hazard, nuisance or distraction to University events.
 
Live Coverage: For those fans unable to attend games on campus, the Nighthawk Sports Network will have full coverage through live statistics and video. Links for all games can be found on each sport's respective schedule page.
 
Promotions: This spring UNG Athletics will also host several promotional nights throughout the baseball and softball season that aim to promote campus and community engagement. More information on giveaways and promotions will be made available on social media throughout the spring seasons.
