DAHLONEGA - The No. 12 University of North Georgia softball team finished off a sweep of Young Harris with a 6-0 win Sunday afternoon.
Haley Cummings got the game going in the first inning with a RBI groundout that scored
Olivia Sinquefield to give the Nighthawks a 1-0 lead. Neither team could get a run across again until North Georgia used a Cummings RBI single to plate two and extend the lead. UNG then scored a third run in the inning on a wild pitch to take a 4-0 lead.
The Nighthawks pushed a pair across in the sixth on back-to-back RBI singles from Cummings and Forehand to get to the final score.
NOTES
- Sinquefield went 3-for-3 in the game, while Cummings was 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Kristen Davis (6-2) earned the win, going the full seven innings, fanning seven and scattering four walks and five hits.
